Drug abuse is a pressing issue that affects communities worldwide, but it often manifests more acutely in slum areas due to limited resources, a lack of access to education, and economic disparities. This past weekend, we embarked on our annual drug sensitization campaign in both the Moa Wharf and Seaside communities. The youth in these communities face unique challenges, making them vulnerable to the allure of substances as a means of escape from harsh realities.

Our drug abuse campaign is specifically driven by a commitment to create positive change in these communities. With the involvement of community stakeholders, the police, drug campaign experts, and past drug abusers, these sanitizations have had positive impacts on community youths, some of whom gave their testimonies during the campaign.
