Bollore Transport and Logistics Country Manager Capt fabjanko Kokan has used the occasion of his company’s donation of  €5, 000 (Five thousand Euros), food items which includes fifty bags of rice, cooked food and cutleries, crates of water and assorted soft drinks, and frames for symbolic display of the two organizations’ logo; to the Don Bosco Fambul at the During Town Compound on Friday 29th January 2021to call foe effective philanthropic partnership to will seek to address the growing neglect to halt issues negatively affecting the development of children and their safety.

Country manager, Captain Fabjanko Kokan said his company is highly  committed to sharing a new moment in breaking the silence on issues affecting children, especially the girl child. “We are here to form a better partnership with Don Bosco on children’s development and ensure their safety. “The children need our hearts and protections for their development,” he said and added that they are committed to working with the Child Protection Organization to frown at and stop the actions of evil people in society that are in the habit of harming children.

Captain Kokan said the small financial assistance and other items donated to the children and social workers is a demonstration of his company’s commitment to ensure the safety of children and a move t break silence on issues affecting them. “So many children need our help and we need to stop violence on them,” he warned.

The donation is said to hve come at a time when Don Bosco needs massive supports from individuals and organizations to protect children that are struggling for a brighter future. The 180 children at the Don Bosco Camp at During Town in the Western Area Rural District included those that were sexually abused by some ill-motivated adults, some of whom are currently facing justice.

Country Director of Don Bosco Fambul, Father George Crisafulli, said his dream is to have a day when children are no longer abused, a day when children will have their rights protected and perpetrators of child abuse face justice, and a day when organizations like Don Bosco would not exist because children are better placed in society and they are well catered for.

The donation, he said, is not small for the center as it will go a very long way in taking care of the children. “With your support and those of other organizations, I am looking forward to having a comfortable center to house and protect children,” the Country Director remarked and thanked Bollore for the support.

Traditional dance by children of Don Bosco Fambul and the signing on a white T-shirt to demonstrate a great partnership by selected children and officials of both organizations climaxed the ceremony.
